Finger Bowl

I wanted to create a platter which stood on legs, so I created the brushed brass legs on my mini metal lathe. During its creation, I had an encounter with my disc sander which removed a small portion of my fingertip, giving this piece its rather unique name.

This 84-piece segmented shallow bowl blends YellowHeart and Wenge. It sits 2" tall with a 13" diameter.
