Queen To Vase

For this piece, I envisioned a tower design, which evolved into inserting the larger feature ring to offset the look. After completing it, I thought it resembled the shape of the traditional Queen chess piece.

Using Maple for the majority of the piece, I incorporated Ebony at the center, for a total of 168 pieces. This vase stands 15" tall, with an 8" diameter base.
