Recovery

This was my first segmented project. Its name is derived from creating it while recovering from tailbone surgery, when I couldn't sit for several months. The piece took 2 months to finish.

410 pieces of wood make up this 12” tall, 8” diameter vase which is comprised of Maple, Big Leaf Maple Burl, Macassar Ebony, Padauk and Bocote.
